This service can be carried out online, with pricing depending on the scope of the consultation and number of wines involved. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Starting a Wine Cellar
If you’re thinking about starting your own wine cellar — whether at home or in-bond — I can help you get started with practical, experience-based guidance and point you towards trusted companies and organisations.
Drawing on my own experience of building and managing both types of collections, I can advise on everything from choosing suitable wine storage and selecting wines with ageing potential to understanding in-bond logistics and long-term planning.
I also use the latest market research data from multiple sources to understand current buying and selling trends, helping you make more informed decisions about what to collect for both the short and long term.
Whether your focus is enjoyment, future value or a mix of both, I can help you make confident, well-informed choices and create a cellar that truly reflects your tastes.
While I don’t offer financial or investment advice, I’m happy to share what I’ve learned to help you get the most satisfaction from your collection.
This service starts with an online questionnaire and can be carried out entirely online. Please get in touch for further details and pricing.

Cellar Audits & Wine Valuations
If you’re an enthusiastic wine collector, keeping track of your collection’s value and condition can often be a challenge. I offer a wine cellar audit and valuation service to help you organise your collection, understand its current value and make the most of your wines.
Drawing on years of hands-on experience in both the enjoyment and investment sides of wine collecting, I use a variety of professional market tools to assess your wines’ value and suggest ideal drinking windows.
A cellar audit can help you establish what you have, identify wines that may be approaching their ideal drinking window, and gain a clearer understanding of the overall value of your collection.
Wine valuation fees are determined by the scale of your collection. This service starts with an online questionnaire and is also available entirely online.

Wine List Audits for Licensed Premises
Is your wine list earning what it should? I offer a full audit of your wine list, looking at every wine by the bottle, by the glass and in flights. I work out the gross margin and mark-up on each line and show how much extra each glass earns compared with selling the bottle whole. I also pick up the inconsistencies that creep into most lists over time: glass prices left behind after a bottle price rise, price bands that squeeze your better wines, supplier and duty increases that never reached the menu, flights priced below the value of the wine in them, and slow sellers carrying too little premium to cover wastage. Not every low price is a mistake, so I help you separate the deliberate choices, such as loss leaders and showcase wines, from the accidental ones. You’ll receive a clear, line-by-line report with recommended prices and practical steps, so you can see exactly what your pricing is doing and where small changes could improve profitability.
